Preparing for a mobile post-op massage starts with a few practical checks: whether the visit suits your recovery, where a massage table can be set up, how the provider will reach the room, and what the visit will cost. At a hotel, those checks involve both us and the property.
At SBS Cult, we offer mobile visits by request for post-op care only, mainly in Orange County. Homes and hotels can work when there is space for a massage table, and we bring the materials needed for the visit. You can focus on confirming the setting and access rather than putting together a treatment supply list.
Confirm that a mobile visit fits your recovery
Start by discussing your procedure, recovery stage, comfort and surgeon’s guidance with us. Having a suitable room is one part of planning; it does not settle whether massage is appropriate for you or when it should happen. We plan post-op care around those individual details.
If you are still planning surgery, you can ask about mobile arrangements beforehand. If you are already recovering, explain your current situation and any instructions that affect the visit. Keep questions about whether and when to receive massage with your surgical team as well as us, rather than choosing a start date from a general online schedule.
Mobile availability applies to post-op care. Do not assume that the same home or hotel arrangements apply to Brazilian lymphatic massage outside surgical recovery or to paramedical tattooing.
Check the address and timing together
Give us the address where the visit would actually take place. If you are staying at a hotel after surgery, use that location rather than your home address or your surgeon’s office. Mention whether the location is settled or could change.
We are based in Orange, California, and travel mainly within Orange County. Availability for a particular address and time needs discussion before scheduling. Locations in lower Los Angeles County or the Inland Empire are considered case by case; there is no published travel radius to use as a guarantee.
For a hotel stay, compare your preferred appointment timing with check-in, checkout and any room change. Ask the property when you will have access to the room, then ask us what timing is available. A room reservation and a preferred appointment time need to fit together before you rely on either for the visit.
Choose the space and check the route into it
We bring the materials needed for a mobile visit to a home or hotel with room for a massage table. Ask us how much clear space is required for setup and movement around the table before choosing the room. A room’s total square footage alone does not answer whether its furniture layout will work.
At home, identify a possible room and describe anything that could affect access. At a hotel, ask about the specific room type and visitor arrangements. These questions help you gather the details; the property’s answers and our setup requirements still need to be matched.
| Detail | At home | At a hotel |
|---|---|---|
| Table space | Which room has clear floor space? What clearance should I allow? | Is there usable space around the bed and fixed furniture for the visit’s setup? |
| Entry route | Are there steps, narrow turns, gates or building entry rules to discuss? | Is there an elevator? Are any steps or restricted entrances on the route? |
| Parking and unloading | Where can a visiting provider park or unload, and what restrictions apply? | Where does the hotel permit parking and unloading? Are there charges to clarify? |
| Visitor access | Does a building manager or household member need to arrange entry? | Does the hotel allow an outside provider in the room? Is registration or an escort required? |
| Privacy | Can the room be available without household interruptions? | Can housekeeping or other room visits be arranged around the appointment? |
| Room availability | Will the chosen space be available for the agreed visit? | Will check-in, checkout or a room move affect access? |
Share any access concern with us before the visit, including stairs or an elevator that may be unavailable. Ask how entry will be coordinated and who should be available to let the provider in. Do not assume the provider can move heavy furniture or that hotel staff can change the layout; ask the relevant person what is possible before depending on it.
Arrange medical follow-up and personal help separately
A mobile massage appointment is one part of your planning. Keep surgical follow-up, transportation and any caregiver or overnight help arranged with your surgical team. A request for a massage visit does not establish those services.
For liposuction specifically, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons advises arranging someone to drive you to and from surgery and stay with you for at least the first night. Ask your surgeon what support your own procedure and circumstances require, including travel between the surgical facility and your home or hotel. ASPS: liposuction preparation.
If getting into position or onto a massage table may require help, raise that before the appointment. Ask us what assistance is within the visit’s scope and ask your surgical team what help you should arrange. Do not make an access plan that depends on unconfirmed lifting or transfer assistance.
Keep your surgical team’s contact information available wherever you are staying. The CDC advises contacting your healthcare provider immediately for possible infection symptoms such as redness and pain at the surgery site, drainage or fever. Contact the healthcare provider about those symptoms rather than waiting for a massage visit. CDC: surgical site infection basics.
Confirm the quote before scheduling
We discuss mobile travel fees before scheduling. Ask for the price of the proposed visit and how the travel fee applies to your address. If the property has parking or access charges, ask us and the property how those would be handled; do not assume they are included.
There is no minimum booking requirement for mobile visits. That is separate from any package you may be considering. Ask about the terms of the specific option offered to you, without treating a package size as a medical recommendation or a requirement for every mobile client.
An in-studio offer is not a mobile quote. Ask us for the price of the visit to your own location before making plans around it.
Confirm the address, agreed timing, visit length, fee and access arrangements together. If the hotel or room changes, tell us so the arrangements can be checked against the new location.
For a program with agreed scheduling and support coordination, see Private Recovery Concierge.
Keep your recovery instructions part of the setup discussion
Have your relevant surgeon instructions ready to discuss, especially anything that affects positioning, movement or assistance. Ask how the proposed setup can accommodate those instructions before the provider arrives. Do not choose a position or change your recovery routine simply because it seems easier in the available room.
For liposuction, ASPS explains that patients receive individual instructions about postoperative care, medicines, concerns to watch for and follow-up. Use those instructions when discussing the visit; this room checklist does not replace them. ASPS: liposuction recovery.
Use one checklist for us and one for the property
Before requesting or confirming the visit, gather these details for us:
- The home or hotel address, and whether it may change.
- Your procedure and planned or actual surgery date, current recovery stage, and relevant surgeon guidance.
- Your preferred timing and any check-in, checkout or follow-up appointment that could affect it.
- The proposed room, table-space questions, entry route, stairs or elevator, and parking details.
- Any positioning or assistance questions that need an answer before arrival.
- The proposed visit price, travel fee, visit length and details still awaiting confirmation.
For a hotel or managed building, ask:
- Is an outside provider allowed to visit the room, and what entry arrangements apply?
- What is the route from parking or unloading to the room, including elevators or steps?
- What parking, visitor or access charges should be clarified?
- Will the room be available for the agreed timing, and can interruptions be arranged around the visit?
Use the appointment request available from the Post-op Care page to share the care you are considering and your preferred timing. We discuss suitability and confirm appointment details after the request; selecting a time on the form does not by itself confirm the visit.
Before the appointment, compare the property’s answers with our requirements. A clear address, workable setup, agreed access and confirmed quote give you a practical plan for the visit while your surgical team continues to guide your recovery.
